I've lived and taught in the Nepean and Blue Mountains area for the past 36 years.

I gained my Bachelor of Education in Primary school teaching 38 years ago and have been teaching primary classes ever since. Throughout my career I have utilised my qualifications in Speech and Drama, through Trinity College, London and AMEB, to teach drama both in my own classroom and have also been employed, in a number of schools, as a Specialist Drama and Creative Arts Teacher.

My passion for drama started when I was in Kindergarten where my teacher informed my mother that “Cathie is so amazing at drama, that if I asked her to be a tree, she could”. 

So, at 6 years of age, when other children were learning musical instruments I embarked on learning how to utilise my own natural instrument – my voice. I began Speech and Drama and continued by competing in eisteddfods and completing both written and practical exams for many years, resulting in my Teaching qualifications in Speech and Drama. 

For the past 20 years, as well as teaching part time in schools, I have also had the great pleasure of teaching a Playgym for 2-5 year olds and their carers. This has allowed me to use my drama skills with pre-schoolers. 

I have directed numerous drama and musical productions at the schools I have taught in, and never cease to be amazed at how talented all children are at performing and how much joy they get from it.

Over the many years parents have approached me, beaming with pride, after seeing a performance their child has just shone in, to enquire about drama lessons outside of the school environment. Unfortunately, whilst I had the grand plan of owning my own drama studio I was always too busy with all my other roles and family commitments. Recently however in 2013, a friend encouraged me to follow my passion and my dream. 

My dream has now come true and that is to allow as many young people from pre-schoolers to early twenties to enjoy the PLEASURE and great FUN that comes with drama and to allow them to truly SHINE!
